When we come on holiday to Phuket to play golf we are generally focused on playing the game, although we still like to have things to do in the evening. Many golf groups like to come to Phuket and have a party-style holiday and a few games of golf, which means you need to book your accommodation in the best and most exciting areas to get the best from your Thailand vacation. Here are 3 destinations from north to south that merge beautiful surroundings with lots of fun bars and establishments.

Surin Beach

Although areas such as Kamala and Laguna are popular on the north-western coastline for a holiday, the best place in the north is Surin Beach. This is a destination that merges the best aspects of a laidback and sundrenched atmosphere with lots of bars and international restaurants. Although Surin is laidback compared to say, Patong, there are still some exciting nightlife options and lots of beer bars. Surin is also just a short drive from the Laguna Phuket golf Club, and approximately a 20-30-minute drive from Kathu, where you will find several courses.

Patong Beach

The ultimate party capital of the island is Patong Beach, located on the central west coastline. Bangla Road in Patong is the most vibrant and busy area for partying on the island. Home to hundreds of bars, dozens of international restaurants, nightclubs, discos and a beach, Patong is the island’s most popular tourist destination. Within a 15-minute drive, you can be in Kathu, where you will find Phuket Country Club, Red Mountain GC and Loch Palm Golf Club.

Located towards the south of the island, Karon Beach and Kata Beach rest perfectly in between Patong and Surin in terms of vibrancy and nightlife activities. Although Karon and Kata can also offer laid-back experiences with beautiful beaches, the nightlife choices are also excellent with lots of beer bars. You won’t find many nightclubs in this part of the island, but it is still a really enjoyable party place. The only drawback of staying in the south part of the island is that it’s at least a 40-minute drive to the nearest golf courses.
