Phuket Schedule ? Up North

Sometimes we like to write detailed blogs that give our golfers, and tourists in general, a day-trip itinerary to see many local attractions in one day. This month we log the best places to visit on the north-side of Phuket Island.

9am: Nai Thon Beach
There is no better way to spend the start of an interesting day touring the north of the island than taking a morning stroll along Nai Thon Beach. This secluded stretch of sand is the picture postcard image of a tranquil Phuket beach.

10:30am: Brunch at Indigo Pearl Resort
Indigo Pearl is one of Phuket?s premier resorts, situated at Nai Yang Beach, offering numerous quality restaurants for you to enjoy a spot of brunch to charge your batteries for the action-packed day ahead.

12:30pm: Splash Jungle Water Park ? Mai Khao
The Splash Jungle Water Park is situated within the grounds of the West Sands Resort at Mai Khao. This purpose-built water park is Phuket?s first and only place to enjoy high-octane water flumes and a water slide that meanders through numerous themes. This is a great afternoon?s fun.

2:30pm: Afternoon Drink at the Bill Bentley Pub ? Mai Khao
After exerting much energy at Splash Jungle, a relaxing drink at the Bill Bentley Pub at the Turtle Village, next to the Anantara Resort, will be the ideal option. The pub enjoys a menu with tasty pub food at great prices.

4:00pm: Sarasin Bridge
A trip to the north side of the island would be incomplete without taking a sneak glimpse at Sarasin Bridge. This bridge links Phuket to mainland Thailand. Here you will observe locals fishing at the bridge and carrying on with their everyday lives. This can be a great place to people watch.

5pm: Yacht Haven Marina
Situated on the northeast coast of the island within a 15-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, the Yacht Haven Marina is a great place to take a stroll and check out the luxurious boats on parade. This purpose-built marina is the ideal location to view panoramic views of Phang Nga Bay and the outlaying islands.

6:15pm: Sunset and Dinner at the Anantara Resort
This wonderfully Asian resort is elegant in every respect. Situated at Mai Khao Beach, the resort is home to numerous classy restaurants such as ?Sea.Fire.Salt?, where you can sit beachside and enjoy the sunset while dining on high quality Thai and International cuisine to wash down the memories of a great day touring the north side of the island.
