We are lucky in Phuket to have so many great golf courses with some of the finest holes you will find anywhere. Everyone loves playing a Par-3, no matter how far you can hit a ball. The Par-3 is a big leveler on the golf course, one that players of all ages and abilities love to tackle. Phuket has some of the finest golf holes in Thailand, but also is home to some stunning Par-3 holes that simply have to be played to be full appreciated. So, here are the best 3 Phuket Par-3s, which coincidentally are all the 17th hole on their respective courses.

17th Hole @ Phuket Country Club

Although Phuket Country Club is known as a more forgiving course than some of the island’s more Championship-geared courses, their 17th Hole is one of the best and toughest Par-3s on the island, known as a real score-breaker. The island green makes a precision shot essential. From the elevate white tees, it’s 139 yards to the island green, and with a heavily sloping green, it’s both a pleasure and disaster to play at the same time.

Not only is the 17th at Phuket Country Club a very challenging hole, but is also one of the most beautiful with its island green, and also one of the most perilous. When you play golf in Phuket, playing the par-3 17th at the Country Club is essential.

17th @ Red Mountain GC

Another jaw-dropping Par-3 from the gods is the 17th at Red Mountain GC. This beautiful 169-yard Par-3 has a 50-meter drop from tee to green through a narrow corridor of luscious jungle vegetation. When standing at the elevated tee, I never know whether to laugh or cry. Don’t look down as they say! The beauty is astounding, but the approach shot is as daunting as they come. There is something magical about playing this hole, which is one of the most unique and scary you will find anywhere in the world. It almost matches the gut-wrenching Par-3s at Pebble Beach in terms of peril.

17th @ Blue Canyon CC

As the name suggests, this course is epitomized by the large and gaping canyon. The canyon comes into play for your tee-shot on the 14th hole, but the real spectacular nature of the canyon truly comes to fruition on the mesmerizing Par-3 17th Hole. Golf legend, Fred Couples called this hole the “best par-3 in golf”, and with almost 200 meters from the elevated White tee-off area down over the canyon to an island green surrounded by water hazards, this might be the toughest approach shot to a golf hole in Thailand.
